Sr. Manager SEC Reporting & Technical Acctg-REMOTE

Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company to identify a Senior Manager of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting. This position is REMOTE.

• Our client is building out its accounting and finance function to support the expansion of the company.
• As the Senior Manager of Technical Accounting and External Reporting you will be responsible for SEC reporting, tax reporting, technical accounting research, and equity administration.
• This highly visible role, reporting to the Corporate Controller, will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to synthesize, summarize, and present financial information in compliance with various accounting and regulatory standards.

The Senior Manager of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute SEC financial reports
• Perform technical accounting research - Interpret, apply, and document technical accounting standards including, but not limited to, business combinations, leases, stock-based compensation, and income taxes.
• Manage SOX Compliance program,
• Support the overall relationship with the external auditors, including supporting the audit scope, managing the fee proposal/approval process, coordinating the audit (including scheduling of all meetings pertaining to quarterly reviews and the annual audit) and issue resolution.
• Oversee all aspects of the company's equity program and act as the main point of contact for employees should questions arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
• Certified Public Accountant required
• 7+ years of experience with a minimum of 3-5 years with a public accounting firm
• Experience with publicly traded SOX-compliant biotech strong preferred
• Experience with Workiva, Equity Edge, and Oracle Fusion a plus
