In this role, the Staff Accountant holds responsibility for preparing monthly and year-end closings, fixed asset maintenance, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. This position spends a fair amount of time producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. During the monthly close, many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility. You will also communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, play an active role in compliance, and review schedules for the reporting processes.

- Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments
- Offer descriptions of a large number of financial data and communicate insights in a useful and understandable manner
- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
- Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision
- Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
- Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management
- Maintain intricate journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
- Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules
- Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed
- Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Be detailed, flexible, and organized
- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Adjusting Journal Entries experience required
- Month-end Journal Entries experience
- General familiarity with VLOOKUP
- Cash reconciliations experience
- Well-founded grasp of Excel Formulas
- Proven knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Daily Cash Receipts experience
- Strong familiarity with Monthly Journal Entries
- Practical knowledge of month end closings
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
- Knowledgeable of ERP systems
- Spreadsheet and database capabilities
- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
- Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
