Patient Authorization Representative Jobs require candidates to:

Obtain a high volume of medical insurance authorizations for patients throughout the organization

Running insurance eligibility for commercial and government payors, reviewing and attaching medical records to authorization requests and maintain high level communication between hospital and clinic staff to ensure successful financial clearance

Maintains professional communication with various staff, medical center staff, physicians, and patients regarding the access services rendered. Communication may consist of telephone, correspondence, or in person contact

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for Patient Authorization Representative jobs:

High school diploma or equivalent

One year work experience

Knowledge of basic medical terminology

Ability to adjust communication to fit the needs and level of understanding of the receiver

The starting pay rate for Patient Authorization Representative is $28.00, plus overtime as needed.
