About This Job
This customer service position largely contributes to the success of the Talent Management department by supporting others needs not only on your team but across the wider Commerce footprint. This position assists with a variety of duties such as on-boarding, handling a busy reception area and phone calls, scheduling interviews, helping with meeting preparations, handling various clerical duties including filing, copying, spreadsheets and mailing/faxing. This position also provides backup to other Services Associates within the Talent Management department. This is a great entry level opportunity for those interested in pursuing possible HR and Talent Acquisition career.
Essential Functions
Support partners and leadership across Talent Management as needed
Coordinate events and answer questions (ex: lunch & learns, celebrations, vendors, etc)
Assist new hires through onboarding process and coordinate materials
Handle Workday processes: post job requisitions, post and close learning courses, process termination, etc
Gather and send documentation for unemployment claims upon request
Provide general office support: order supplies, process invoices, answer phones, monitor front desk, coordinate meetings and lunches, manage conference room scheduling, etc
Perform other duties as assigned
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm) mainly on-site – downtown Kansas City, MO
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Basic knowledge of the Human Resources field
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required
2+ years related office support experience required
