Head Fitness Coach
Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for assuming the lead position at BLK LBL Fitness Club with respect to the overall product and
experience of our members. The head coach will lead the implementation of quality control providing the
coaching staff the appropriate ongoing training, ensuring that our standard of excellence is realized. Focusing
on General Physical Preparedness and Personal Training the head coach will lead in the execution of BLFC’s
member service and sales goals as well as assist in clientele retention and acquisition. Will also be responsible
for scheduling, overall class performance, seminars, events, and other applicable offerings.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
To achieve success as Head Coach at BLFC, the individual should have a passion for exercise, fitness, and
health, and assist in creating a vision within his/her team that will help in achieving BLK LBL Fitness Clubs'
business goals and objectives. He/she should be able to present themself as a role model and provide
excellent Coaching and production. Must have the ability to hold coaches to account through goal setting,
praising, and reprimanding whenever needed. He/she should keep himself updated with the current developments
in the fitness industry and should be able to implement programs for improving the product and experience
of BLFC members and clients. He/she should possess excellent communication skills and should have
great problem-solving abilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain established organizational policies, protocols, and standards.
• Oversea production of BLFC’s clientele and 1-on-1 PT programs.
• Adhere to organizational Rules & Regulations.
• Adhere to the fitness industry code of ethics; shall not enter into gainful employment with a member or guest (i.e.
do not solicit or conduct personal business with a member or guest as a private client outside the umbrella of
BLK LBL Fitness Club.
• Attend and participate in management meetings where necessary.
• Develop and manage action plans to reach overall goals where necessary.
• Lead on training new Coaches onboarding.
• Leads in training and developing Coaches on Protocols including leading weekly meetings and be
day-to-day operations resource for all Coaches.
• Leads in providing ongoing Protocol Evaluations and Performance Reviews.
• Leads the implementation of systems and protocols.
• Assist GM in additional training and development of Fitness Facilitators.
• Manages Monthly Coaching Schedule including Orientations & Seminars/Events.
• Host or stewardship delegate monthly Reprogram Seminars.
• Host or stewardship delegate one Event per month.
• Providing staff with ongoing assistance and training.
• Developing Coaches to grow PT revenue organically and to assist members in reaching fitness goals.
• Take the lead to ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and maintenance of the facility
• Deploy buy-in, additional training, and inspiration where necessary to ensure successful outcomes for the
Coaching Department and overall club alike.
COMPENSATION:
• 3k Monthly Salary guaranteed with additional earning potential via commissions.
