Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Institutional Investment Operations Specialist...

In this role, you will:
  • Principally responsible for drafting and verifying the accuracy and completeness of OTC Derivative bi-lateral confirmations for a variety of products and business lines, including Commodity, Credit, Equity, Interest Rate, and Foreign Exchange.
  • Cross-train and mentor other team members whether for on-boarding purposes or for developing a deeper understanding of novel, complex, and/or unique trade structures.
  • Regularly seek opportunities to improve processes, controls, and procedures to improve efficiencies, deepen the team's understanding of products, and mitigate risk.
  • Partner with the project team to develop requirements for system enhancements and assist with user acceptance testing
  • Review and analyze complex Derivatives Confirmation functions and operations that require in-depth evaluation
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Provide leadership to bring groups together to resolve multi-faceted complex issues
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 4+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of drafting and/or verifying derivative OTC Confirmations.
  • Strong, developed and deep understanding of derivative trading, product mechanics, and industry/market knowledge.
  • Ability to review and understand ISDA Master and Credit Support Annex agreements.
  • Extensive knowledge of use and application of ISDA Definitions, regulatory requirements, and interdependence of various ISDA documentation in the preparation and review of ISDA confirmations
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Experience with and understanding of Calypso, Imagine, Opics, Endur, and other mainframe trading and risk management systems
Job Expectations:
  • Registration for FINRA Series 99 must be completed within 120 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
