System Administrator (SCCM)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Anchorage, AK that is seeking a System Administrator (SCCM). Duties Include:
  • System Administrator will support of a highly virtualized MS Windows 2016/2019 environment, which includes operating systems support, patching (vendor provided updates) and third-party software maintenance
  • Manage Active Directory, GPOs, Domain Servers
  • Lead engineering discussions and provide technical solutions
  • Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software problems and taking appropriate corrective action and/or interacting with IT staff or vendors in performing dynamic testing, support and troubleshooting functions with very little to no supervision
  • Monitor server performance and capacity, forecast system demands and recommend upgrades, expansions, and reconfigurations
  • Performing complex computing environment buildouts, installation, maintenance, and support with emphasis on documentation of operating procedures and processes
  • As a System Administrator, you will provide Tier III level support for client-side issues
  • Provide on-call support and weekend maintenance duties as required
  • Complete projects in a timely manner and produce documentation as required

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience and strong hands-on knowledge of with MS Windows Server platforms as well as related technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, GPO's, IIS, and SQL
  • Expertise with SCCM
  • Must have demonstrated a high level of problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Must be able to manage Active Directory and GPOs
  • Microsoft ADFS - configuration, troubleshooting
  • Understanding of server architectures, hardware, RAID
  • Scripting PowerShell, Python, or Perl
  • Networking fundamentals (e.g., DHCP, DNS, vLANs, routing)
  • Able to analyze alerts from various monitoring tools and take appropriate actions during troubleshooting
