L3Harris-Aeromet is established within the DoD Community as the developer and operator of special mission ISR systems. We provide special mission system design, modification, and operations with emphasis on the development and integration of state-of-the-art EO/IR sensor systems.

Job Description:

Specialist Field Engineer is responsible for aircraft and/or ground mission system installation, operation, maintenance, repairs, modification, and deployment logistics. Mission systems include radios, computers, aircraft support equipment, gimbals, electronic equipment, and electro-optical systems. The field engineer analyzes and evaluates systems and related performance and troubleshoots/diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time. These tasks will be performed at the home station (Tulsa, Ok) and in deployed settings (domestic and international). Additionally, this position is required to fly on an aircraft as part of a Mission Operations Crew and operate electro optical mission systems and sub-systems.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • 2-3 years’ experience using MS Office Suite in addition to tools, and test equipment (including: digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools)
  • Experience with use of technical publications (e.g. schematics, maintenance manuals) to analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic malfunctions is desired
  • Must have existing SECRET level clearance
  • Requires proficient knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a FAA Class 3 Flight Physical

Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to work overtime and all work shifts
  • Must be able to travel up-to 35% of the year
  • Travel to remote sites
