Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Metal Stamping Machine Operator to join our growing team at Blum USA. This is a great opportunity to link your career with an established international company.
Job Responsibilities
As a Stamping Operator, you will be responsible for operating the presses and monitoring their associated computer systems.
Additional responsibilities for this position include:
- Monitoring, loading and unloading presses
- Measuring quality of output
- Material handling functions of the job including loading and unloading presses
- Reporting error messages and order paperwork
- Completing visual and measurable QC checks
- Complete product changeovers (to include emptying the press, changing gripper rails, changing cutting blades and oil filling)
- Complete housekeeping and machine cleaning activities
- Perform assigned tasks during maintenance activities, set up and overhauls
- Work 3rd shift hours (Sunday – Thursday 11pm – 7am) with flexibility to adjust hours when necessary
- May have to train on alternate shift before transferring to 3rd shift work schedule
- Work overtime (including weekends) as needed
- Complying with all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines (including reporting unsafe practices and safety hazards)
Job Requirements
To be successful in this type of position, we need team players who bring a positive attitude to the work place and enjoy being around and working with others. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferably working with Metal Stamping machines in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Additional requirements for this position include:
- Must possess a High Scholl diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Ability to communicate issues, concerns and problems effectively both within the workgroup and with members of other departments
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs
- Ability to read product specification drawings
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and individually
- Must be detail oriented and have the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to learn and apply the Metric measurement system
- Ability to use small hand tools
- Ability to acquire and maintain forklift certifications (standup and sit down forklifts)
- Can use computers, programs and their applications as needed
