Job Title: Sr. Materials Engineer (Multiple Openings)

Location: Mounds View, MN - HYBRID

Job Type: Full-time; Consultant

Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extension

Salary: Negotiable Market Rate

Are you a polymer or metallurgy aficionado? Do you love defining the materials composing medical devices? Are you ready to solve global problems? As a Senior Materials Engineer, you will work with leading engineers worldwide to develop plans, testing methodologies, and solutions for the development and production of devices. An example of responsibilities includes:

• Work with suppliers and internal employees to evaluate different changes and the impact on manufacturing to materials characteristics
• Develop Test Plan Strategies using infrared analysis and material labs techniques
• Create Regulatory Strategies to determine whether or not a chance in the manufacturing environment will impact the material, component, or device

What makes you right for this role?

• Five (5) years of experience working with polymers (soft) and/or metal / ceramic (hard) materials including material characterization using analytical techniques.
• CAPA Process experience

What makes you stand out in this role?

• In-depth Materials Regulations knowledge including RoHS, reach, EUMDR, Cal Prop 65
• Background in Medical Devices, Supplier Quality Regulation and/or Change Control Teams

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science in Engineering
• Preferred education in Materials or Chemistry
