Environmental Services and Kitchen Assistant

Enterhealth is currently seeking a swing position kitchen assistant and environmental services team member in Van Alstyne. This position will be full-time Tuesday through Saturday.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in preparation of safe, eye-appealing and properly flavored foods and well-balanced, nutritional meals.
2. Assist with special catering events as needed.
3. Assist with serving meals to clients and staff.
4. Assist with preparation and clean-up of meals, including cleaning of dishes, tables and kitchen.
5. Cover kitchen duties independently minimum of two days a week when Head Chef is off.
6. Ensures proper equipment operation/maintenance and proper safety and sanitation in kitchen.
7. Assist with housekeeping duties on campus
8. Adhere to company policies and procedures
9. Clean facility & client rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
10. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners
11. Empty wastebaskets, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
12. Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies.
13. Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing
14. Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
15. Keep storage areas well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
16. Replace light bulbs.
17. Replenish supplies such as linens, soap, and bathroom items.
18. Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
19. Move and arrange furniture, and turn mattresses.
20. Observe precautions required to protect client property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
21. Prepare rooms for meetings, and furniture for social or business functions.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Sit up to 6 hours.
• Walk up to 500 feet, up hills and on uneven terrain.
