Program Management Leader 5 - Amazon Kuiper Program

Your Role: What you'll be doing

ULA has been awarded a game-changing, multi-billion dollar program to launch the majority of spacecraft for Amazon's Project Kuiper constellation initiative. This extraordinary program has jumpstarted a new growth phase at ULA! Doubling our business base and positioning the company to double our launch rate. This job opportunity is to be a Leader within ULA's Project Kuiper Program Office. As a program management leader for the Kuiper Program Office, you will guide and lead a team responsible for the establishment, integration, and execution of program plans focused on supporting the Amazon Project Kuiper customer on both Atlas V and Vulcan Centaur contracts.
  • Lead team responsible for program management activities (with a technical/operational focus) through the development of clear executable plans from ATP through program kickoff, customer program reviews, launch service delivery, and program closeout.
  • Coordinate program planning with functions across the enterprise including Major Development, Engineering, Production Operations, and Launch Operations to meet program objectives, identify and resolve issues
  • Support the establishment and management of ULA's Kuiper Program Management Baseline and Change Control process
  • Support the establishment and management of ULA's Kuiper integrated master plans and integrated master schedules as well as drive successful execution to those plans by integrating across all enterprise scope owners, such as Major Development, Production Operations, and Launch Operations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to Amazon for all technical scope related program management activities, and support customer Quarterly Program Reviews
  • Develop collaborative relationships both within ULA cross-functional organizations and with the Amazon customer
  • Provide clear communication to both internal and external team members as well as ULA executive management

This position can be based out of one of ULA's primary locations in Colorado, Alabama or Florida

Your Background: What education and experience you'll need

At least 8 years applicable experience in the associated technical or administrative area, plus a minimum of 2 years managing people, project management or team lead experience or a combination of the three.

Your Background: What skills you'll need

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other related field
  • Experience with space systems, preferably including launch vehicle systems
  • Experience with program management and/or managing project teams
  • Experience working with customers and subcontractors
  • Strong communication skills and effectively manages cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and MS Project; familiarity with Open Plan and COBRA tools
  • Must be a US Citizen

Summary Salary Range (Colorado Only)

$128,882 - $239,631

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
