The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a marketing professional to join the rapidly growing automation business as a Market Manager. The position leverages first-hand understanding of customer needs, product and applications expertise, and in-depth market knowledge and insights to increase sales leads and effectiveness and market penetration of key products. The position works along all aspects of the buying cycle but primarily focuses on early cycle, where market insights can provide a competitive advantage by being recognized as a thought leader in the industry.
The primary responsibility of the Market Manager is to develop and implement marketing plans that increase market share and achieve bookings and profit targets for the Automation market segment. Responsibilities also include providing regular communication, support, and training to the global sales and service organizations and to collaborate with the Key Account Manager to effectively drive the overall automation strategy. The Market Manager will contribute in the early phases of new product development by leading customer and market needs evaluations through targeted voice of the customer (VOC) activities, as well as by developing targeted marketing and sales collateral to support the growth of our automated solutions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Analyze assigned market(s) to understand and provide insights on market share, business performance, and trends.
- Coordinate and execute on global lead generation and market development programs focused on increased penetration of automated solutions into client’s key accounts and customers
- Maintain metrics to provide a feedback loop for program and strategy success or failure to enable continuous improvement
- Explore customer and target market needs and challenges in search of new product development opportunities
- Leverage primary marketing channels to support client as a thought leader in the industry
Requirements
- Individuals must be highly motivated and able to demonstrate effective strategic planning abilities.
- Successful candidates will have experience in at least one of the following areas.
- Product/market management,
- Sales
- Applications
- Automation system engineering experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field.
