Job Description
Ameripipe Supply, Inc. is the Southwest’s leading independently owned supplier of pipe, valves, fittings, and fabrication services supporting the fire protection, mechanical, industrial, and oilfield markets. Essential Duties
- Deliver pipe, flanges, etc. via a Commercial Delivery Vehicle
- Ability to operate a Moffett or Piggy Back Forklift
- Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
- Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
- Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles.
- Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers for accuracy and thoroughness
- Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations. Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to dispatch via telephone.
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision, ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned tasks.
- Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with customers and other departments within Ameripipe as well as with potential vendors.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 25 years of age
- 5+ Years’ experience as a Commercial Delivery Driver with Moffett or Piggy Back experience
- Have a valid Class A or B CDL License (no tickets or accidents 5+years)
- Airbrake Endorsement, Standard Transmission
- Must pass pre-employment MVR, drug screening and Background Investigation
- Must be adaptable to different shifts and have the availability to work overtime, weekends and some overnight travel when required
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn, have a “can do” attitude
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk 2-4 hours per 8-hour day
- Ability to sit 8 hours per day for driving
- Ability to utilize hands and feet for turning and pushing for driving 8 hours per day
- Ability to stand 4-6 hours per 8-hour day
- Ability to crouch, bend, kneel, lift 50 lbs., carry 50 lbs. and reach as needed in large and tight spaces 4-6 hours per 8-hour day
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. above head and work overhead 6’ 4-6 hours per 8-hour day
- Ability to team lift up to 100 lbs. over head as needed
Work Environment:
- 100% manufacturing environment
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch, bend, kneel, lift, carry, reach as needed in large and tight spaces
- Ability to lift to 30 lbs. above head and work over head
- Ability to team lift to 100 lbs. over head
