Critical Care Educator (RN)

A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their facilities in Queens as their new Critical Care Educator.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee clinical operations within the program, using data and fact-based problem solving techniques to improve processes and outcomes
• Ensure that all clinical initiatives run according to institutional and departmental policies and in accordance with any government or regulatory requirements as applicable.
• Recruit, orient, train, coach, counsel, mentor, discipline, and evaluate staff in accordance with all internal policies and procedures
• Communicate values, strategies, and objectives of department or division on a regular basis
• Plan, develop, and/or maintain departmental standard operating procedures
• Regularly review policies and procedures and make changes; recommend changes to superiors, as necessary
• Coordinate educational and performance improvement activities within a designated clinical specialty
• Develop and design of action plans to support clinical performance and competency and provides support and educational resources to departments and services relative to nursing care delivery within the context quality assessment and improvement processes
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ year of directly related experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Microsoft Office Suite proficient
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

• Master's Degree in Nursing and/or Health-related field
• Certification in specialty area
• Experience in a Supervisory role
