BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital in the Phoenix, AZ area is hiring experienced Veterinary Professionals to work in our Emergency Department.

Schedule can be either Thursday thru Saturday or Wednesday - Saturday

We have locations in Avondale, Peoria, Scottsdale, and Phoenix. Scheduling options include full-time and part-time day, swing, and overnight shifts. We offer a shift differential on nights and weekends and also offer competitive pay with growth opportunities!

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Drive excellence in patient care by exercising a high level of nursing skill.

• Maintain a solid grasp of common veterinary medical terms and abbreviations.

• Understand and execute treatment plans for outpatient and inpatient.

• Obtain vitals such as temperature heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure, and collaborate with Veterinarian on abnormalities.

• Display a desire to provide outstanding service and exceed customer expectations.

• Perform and obtain diagnostics.

• Know commonly-used medications and associated side effects.

• Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters.

• Show willingness to learn aspects of triage, outpatient, and inpatient care.

Qualifications:

• Emergency experience preferred.

• Experience as a Veterinary Technician required.

• CVT or experience equivalent preferred.
