IT Administrator
Responsible for overseeing IT functions within the entire organization.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an Office 365 SharePoint migration engineer to create an infrastructure for Office 365 migration effort
- Troubleshoot Office 365 SharePoint related migration issues and arrive at a problem resolution
- Escalate and work with Microsoft support team as necessary
- Participate in office 365 migration strategy discussions
- Document system configurations, standards, and operational procedures
- Train staff and provide help desk support
- Create and implement custom tools as required for migration
- Refresh outdated workstations with upgraded RAM and Hard Drive storage as needed
- Working with end-users to coordinate times for migration activities
- Work across different internal groups, vendors, clients, security & engineering groups and many technologies
- Analyze migration tools, processes and make recommendations for improvement
- Establish, maintain, and ensure inventory systems are updated
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT infrastructure
- Assist with the management and development of our IT disaster recovery plan(backups)
- Actively involved in several technical responsibilities, including identifying and resolving security vulnerabilities, server and storage management, network and firewall design and other security decisions followed by implementation
- Provides broad range of expert technical knowledge to develop integrated solutions and solve hardware/software issues that are varied in nature and critical to company operations
- Maintain IT budgetary responsibility and provide strategic direction to the CEO/COO
- Maintain written documentation of QED IT related processes
- Assist with updating company website as necessary
- Understand, implement, and train staff on CMMC regulations
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelors' degree in IT, computer science, or a related field preferred
- 5 years' IT administration experience required
- Demonstrates advanced level experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Experience with hardware and software support, troubleshooting, hardware break-fix support (i.e. laptops, desktops, and printers), refresh, upgrade and deployment projects
- Experience with Windows OS, MS Office, Active Directory, Group policies, anti-virus software, Windows domain networking, local area networking
- Solid understanding of Office 365 Products and Services (SharePoint/ Unified Groups) and Office 365 SharePoint sites Migration experience
- Excellent knowledge of Office 365 authentication and authorization
- Ability to track and resolve issues with minimal supervision
- Ability to develop applications and tools to support Office 365 migrations
- Troubleshooting Experience on-prem/online, networking (wireshark,etc), Microsoft Information protection (MIP)
- Top notch customer service skills and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner and must be able to communicate with all levels of employees within the organization
- Flexible to go to sites in Virginia, DC, or Maryland as needed
- Experience in a government contracting environment preferred
- Analytical ability: Ability to independently recognize and diagnose problems, exercise judgment in arriving at logical conclusions, and follow-through with timely action.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite products and Google-suite products
- Experience migrating google email to Microsoft 365 preferred
- Ability to prioritize and handle project meeting deadlines
