Application Engineer

PhotoGAUGE is an AI technology company at the forefront of a new paradigm in measurement: we tell you everything you need to know about physical objects in a snap. What are their dimensions? How many are there and how do they compare? Are they straight or slightly off? What is their volume? Can we replicate an authentic item entirely for use in 3D printing, manufacturing or showcasing in the metaverse.

We are looking for application engineers to join our team.

Responsibilities:

1. understand inspection needs based on part drawings and GD&T requirements;
2. provide field support to customers (travel as needed);
3. perform measurements on scans of customers' parts and produce reports; and
4. participate in photogrammetry R&D involving state-of-the-art camera hardware (e.g. smartphones, robots, drones, smart glasses)

Eligibility:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Metallurgy/Materials Science/Civil Engineering and up to 2 years experience

Required Skills:

1. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and meet tight deadlines
2. Strong foundation in engineering, with emphasis on tinkering
3. Experience with CAD software, e.g. Pro-E, Catia, etc.
4. Effective written and oral communication
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
6. Attention to detail, perseverance

Desired skills:

Familiarity with photography, fabrication, GD&T, and statistical process control
