Fleet Accounting Processor

General Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE:

The Fleet Accounting Processor is to execute the day-to-day, mostly transactional, Accounts Payable activities in accordance with the Accounts Payable mission by providing exceptional service to internal and external customers, adhering to appropriate controls as well as making payments to the right supplier, for the right amount. Primary responsibilities include handling AP inquiries via email, processing invoices, processing multiple-invoice files along with needed vendor remittances and other tasks that prepare the invoice for payment.

What Will You Do:

  • Responds timely and professionally to phone calls and internal / external customer queries by email and provides payment remittance details for vendors.
  • Escalates timely any issues which need Management attention.
  • Processes manual invoices.
  • Processes scripted invoice files.
  • Reviews, analyzes and works any Invoice issues.
  • Frequently and consistently reviews and analyzes key reports, such as the Unmatched report, the Open invoice report, the Invoice error report, and the domestic errors report and takes corrective action if needed.
  • Initiates and manages effective, well-structured and consistent 2-way communication within Accounts Payable / Fleet as well as with internal and external customers.
  • Supports and assists the AP Team / Fleet Management in adhoc tasks or as required.
Essential Requirements:

Experience and Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or some college preferred
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access
  • IBM mainframe experience, a plus
  • Ability to concurrently manage ongoing tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid Analytical & Problem-solving skills
  • Strong sense for Customer needs and customer service
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers
  • Must be an aggressive self-starter and able to prioritize with minimal guidance from supervisor
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Open to opportunities & suggestions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Stress/pressure Resistant
