Certified Sterile Processing Technician - Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY

The Central Processing Technician is responsible for ensuring surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed, and tracked in a quality/timely manner throughout the Bon Secours Richmond network.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. High School diploma or equivalent required

2. Requires knowledge of anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and medical terminology.

3. Has knowledge of the sterilization processes, infection control principles and ability to work with equipment related to the sterilization processes.

4. Certified Registered Central Service Technician, (CRCST) certification thru the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management required.
