Chief Financial Officer

We have an immediate need for a Chief Financial Officer. This position will be located at our Reno, NV Office.

Responsibilities:


The CFO is responsible to drive and manage all the financial functions of our company. The CFO is an integral part of the executive team, this role will secure the revenues and profitability of our company while driving the company’s strategic plan.

Planning:

• Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives

• Monitor and assist in directing the implementation of strategic business plans

• Develop financial and tax strategies

• Manage the annual budgeting processes including monthly updates throughout each year, measuring variances, and identifying areas of concern or opportunity

• Develop and report financial performance measures that support the company's strategic direction

Operations and Analysis:

• Manage the accounting, tax, insurance, and treasury functions

• Oversee the company's transaction processing systems

• Prepare analyses for all capital request decisions showing return on investment timeframe and magnitude

• Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team

• Assist managers in identifying opportunities to improve cash flow and overall profit enhancement

• Implement operational best practices within areas of responsibility

Financial Information:

• Oversee the issuance of financial information

Risk Management:

• Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile

• Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry

• Construct and monitor reliable control systems

• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage

• Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements

• Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agency funding

• Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts

• Assist in arranging debt financing as needed

Qualifications:


• Controller, CFO/VP Finance level experience in construction industry

• 10- 15 years of finance and accounting experience with progressively increasing responsibility

• Construction industry bonding and surety knowledge

• SBA 8(a) experience

• SBA compliance reporting knowledge

• Multi state operational knowledge- payroll, sales and use tax, gross tax, insurance

• Areas of expertise to include financial and cost accounting, cash management, financial and resource planning systems, and tax compliance

• Exceptional organization skills, strong self-motivator with high attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
