the role

Pharmacy Technician

is

to fill prescriptions for patients, maintain pharmacy inventory, and maintain proper allocation of all pharmaceutical drugs within the hospital.

As a Pharmacy Technician

,

you will:

• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Maintain pharmacy inventory

• Check pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level

• Anticipate needs for medications and supplies

• Verify receipts

• Remove/return outdated drugs

• Maintain and fulfill controlled substance cabinets

• Fill prescriptions for hospitalized patients and outpatients

• Maintain and fulfill stocking of medical supplies in designated locations from Central Supply

• Research and remain up to date withPharmacy Regulations for Veterinarians

• Complete any additional tasks not specified and/or assignments as request by the Department Manager
