About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Portfolio Associate to support our Leasing Team in the Commercial Mortgage Servicing (CMS) division. Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.

In this role, you will:
  • Review, analyze and decision lease documents at properties where the underlying debt is securitized primarily in Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS)
  • Assess, analyze and report property level financial reporting
  • Consult with line of business partners to structure approvals
  • Document and collect all necessary due diligence required
  • Respond to customer inquiries, generate status reports for management or bankers and contact available sources of information
  • Perform moderately complex credit investigations on companies and industries
  • Receive direction from Commercial Banking Portfolio Management supervisor and escalate noncompliant issues
  • Ensure credit files are current
  • Interact with the immediate team and Commercial Banking Portfolio Management functional area to review process of companies for providing credits

Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ months of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Solid problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in reviewing and analyzing commercial real estate loan documents and deal documents
  • Experience in CMBS or the servicing of commercial mortgages
  • BS/BA degree or higher in Finance or Business Administration
