Job Description

• Operation of all facility Broadcast Operations equipment and systems.

• Relief of Master Control Operators and Ingest Operators as needed covering open shifts.

• Interact with the automation software, making changes to the on air schedule when necessary to ensure continuity in the on air product.

• Monitoring of on-air networks and signals

• Has the ability to cover all operational positions

• Coordinate activities between Broadcast Operations and Live Event site during the broadcast

• Ensure accurate and error-free integration of live programming and live cut-ins by working closely with in-house and remote production staff and A.D.'s

• Liaison between departments and remotes

• Ensure that network formats are followed during live events

• Ensure elements including but not limited to billboard, sponsorship elements, scoring ticker, animated lower thirds and “bug” are executed properly on-air during live and non-live broadcast

• Conduct first line discrepancy investigation, troubleshooting, escalation and reporting of service interruptions

• Implements contingency plans for delays in live action, over runs, overlaps in events.

• Maintain all required logs and feed information in the systems

• Make adjustments to logs for all event replays

• Participates in operational and strategic planning, including workflow, personnel and equipment
