Human Resources Generalist
SHR Talent is partnering with a client in Nashville, TN in its search for a Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist position requires a highly organized individual who possesses strong initiative and can complete multiple projects in a deadline driven environment. The Human Resources Generalist will report to and work closely with the Human Resources Manager to ensure an efficient, full scope of the Human Resources function is conducted.
To be successful in this role, the Human Resources Generalist must be able to communicate effectively and understand the needs to work in an integrated manner with other members of the department in furtherance of goals, objectives, and knowledge. An ideal candidate for the Human Resources Generalist role is trustworthy, possess good judgment, possess the ability to work with confidential information, has exceptional organizational skills, is detail-oriented, and a team player.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s of Science in Business, Human Resources, or related field
- 2 – 3 years’ of prior Human Resources experience
- Perform general duties required to administer and execute human resource programs
- Manage the hiring process through recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating hiring of qualified applicants for open positions
- Collaborate with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
- Lead facilitator in an established and well-organized recruiting process
- Respond to internal and external inquiries
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors
- Assist Human Resources Manager in ensuring compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations, recommending best practices, reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and modern technologies in human resources talent management and employment law
- Assist with job descriptions and post open positions
- Create requisition forms and perform audit of weekly open requisition report, and maintain organizational charts, and turnover reports
- Prepare and maintain files, budgets, and expense reports
- Clear candidate references via phone and email
- Perform general office duties, ad hoc recruiting projects, and administrative support
- Track all active and terminated staff, maintaining paperwork and database
- Maintain accurate personnel files and Human Resources electronic files
