Role Mission
The role of the Vice President, Media is to strategize and build Gucci's full scope of traditional and digital media activities in North America. An ideal candidate is exceptionally analytical, with a disruptive, digital-first mindset, that equally understands the power of brand image, protection and elevation. Responsible for developing and managing integrated, multi-channel media strategies that align with the overall Brand Engagement marketing calendar, this role must orchestrate the right messages at the right time to the right audience to build exposure and drive sales to our owned network of stores, retail partners, and Gucci.com. This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Brand Engagement.

Role Mission
The role of the Vice President, Media is to strategize and build Gucci's full scope of traditional and digital media activities in North America. Responsible for developing and managing integrated, multi-channel media strategies that align with the overall Brand Engagement marketing calendar, this role must orchestrate the right messages at the right time to the right audience to build exposure and drive sales to our owned network of stores, retail partners, and Gucci.com. This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Brand Engagement.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop strategic, creative vision for Gucci's regional media evolution--including new strategies for traditional and digital media presence, matching image objectives with business growth and development goals;
- Create specific strategies and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for full mix of channels-setting objectives related to expected traffic, conversion and Return On Advertising Spend (ROAS) based on media type, funnel placement, targeting and behavioral intent;
- Build daily, weekly and monthly operational cadence with the eCommerce team-escalating analysis of performance, optimizations, forecasts and modeled revenue as an integrated media operation;
- Optimize channel by channel spend and mix of content types (digital, native, OOH) continuously to maximize ROAS and traffic potential;
- Collaborate with eCommerce, Finance, Retail and Merchandising teams to build a bottom up budget, modeled on efficiency, traffic, conversion rates, to give a strong predictive expectation on future performance;
- Manage advertising budgets for fashion, timepieces, jewelry and eyewear assuring effective spending and accountability, regularly reporting on results, lessons learned, and future iterations based on performance;
- Oversee relationship with media and publishing partners, effectively partnering to drive added value and media innovation;
- Inspire creativity and innovation through partner relationships-elevating Gucci's positioning as a thought-leader in advertising and digital marketing;
- Meet with media partners and new technology vendors on a regular basis;
- Seek new media opportunities, technology partners and platforms to ensure innovation, maximum ROI and first-to-market presence whenever possible while being protective of the brand image;
- Work closely with Integrated Marketing (including Product Marketing and Retail Marketing) to build and execute strategic Global Marketing plans around seasonal initiatives;
- Activate 360 Integrated Marketing strategies in key cities, including retail, experiences, and special projects;
- Follow the regional sales growth targets to build and help inform the media budgets in order to drive media effectiveness in key areas;
- Partner with Coty US Team leading joint media programs and providing feedback on the Gucci Fragrance plans as presented by Coty WW;
- Collaborate with Kering Eyewear & Gucci Watches & Jewelry Teams to develop the media strategy for the region across both the traditional and digital plans;
- Support Partner Marketing leads on the Coop and Leased advertising plan for retail partners;
- Manage the relationship with the Agency partners to ensure optimal service and results;
- Develop added value programs with publishing partners for all Gucci divisions (except beauty/fragrance) working closely with internal teams (Events, Public Relations, Retail, Consumer Management, Merchandising, eCommerce) to achieve business objectives;
- Lead, mentor and build media team that is results-oriented, analytical and deeply image protective.
Key Requirements
- College Degree;
- Minimum of 15 years in media, client-side and e-commerce experience strongly preferred, with a proven track record of success;
- Digital and data-first experience but able to drive results across full-scope of media channels;
- Experience collaborating with media partners to drive added value opportunities;
- Very proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook);
- Excellent industry relationships and partnerships;
- Strong negotiation skills;
- Meticulous and detail oriented while understanding the big picture brand and marketing strategy;
- Ability to manage agency partners and hold them accountable for deliverables and results.
