Job Description

We are looking for inventory clerks for a healthcare manufacturer in Sarasota, FL.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under general direction, receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products to support the Production floor and any other internal customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work effectively with all departments to meet material requirements in support of Production as well as Customer Service.

• Assembling and filling requests for materials by reading customer orders, work orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved from receiving or storage areas to production or to other designated areas.

• Assist receiving, checking in merchandise, opening containers matching to purchase orders for processing.

• Sorting and placing materials or items in designated storage area on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. • Rotate stock to assure first in, first out (FIFO) flow of inventory.

• Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.

• Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.

• Weighing and counting items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.

• Participate in 5S activities.

• Organizing, sweeping, dusting, and mopping work area for orderliness at all times. May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.

• Inventory cycle counts: Performs and manually records physical counts of items assigned on daily basis.

• Assisting in counting of physical inventory.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.

EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years minimum related experience in manufacturing environment.

• Previous experience in stockroom preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to utilize pallet jacks as well as forklifts in a safe manner to move stock to desired locations.

• Knowledge of MRP, basic inventory control, production experience,

• Prefer computer literate-MRP/ERP System modules, MS Office including Excel, Word etc.

• Must be well organized and be able to handle multiple tasks and projects at a time.
