QA Automation Manager

This is a hybrid opportunity- 2-3 days in office in Newport Beach, CA.

Principle responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for test automation for web, mobile, API and other various backend processes.
• Enforce coding and other automation standards, which encompasses test case creation, test suite setup, reporting, and test triggering through Azure DevOps.
• Maintain environment monitoring to guarantee stability of the teams’ test environments.
• Set guidelines for automation deliverables, aligning with two-week sprints cycles.
• Monitors automation coverages across all the software development teams.
• Ensures the team is following release and deployment testing processes.
• Work closely with development leadership to certify technical consistency across the departments.
• Responsible for driving innovative automation strategies that support and enhance the current QA processes within the organization.
• Work along side QA Architect to review and adopt new testing tools, techniques and automation processes.
• Work along side Functional QA Managers to determine most effective way for functional and automation engineers to collaborate.
• Responsible for on-time delivery of test plan creation, test plan execution, and test results reports.
• Uses team member’s quarterly and annual performance reviews to determine necessary guidance and mentorship opportunities to ensure the growth of the individual.
• Develop and implement a detailed technical roadmap that aligns with the other department initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience required.
• 5-8 years of quality assurance automation testing experience.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
• Required experience include database technologies, API test automation frameworks, UI test automation frameworks, mobile test automation frameworks, build/test/deployment tools, test case management tools, Postman, Scrum/Agile, cross department coordination, and test strategy planning.
• Preferred skills include: Cypress or Playwright, JavaScript/Typescript, Qtest, Rally, Jira, Azure, Azure DevOps, Cosmos DB, MSSQL, Charles Proxy, Swagger, and Splunk.
