Watertown, MA
Vice President, Early Clinical Development
At Neumora, we are pushing the boundaries of science and technology to revolutionize the way patients with brain disease are treated. We are seeking extraordinary individuals to join our team as we grow and advance our pipeline.
Brain disorders are the leading cause of disability and death in the world, and current treatments are inadequate. There are multiple reasons for this: treatments are not targeted; patients experience delayed and partial treatment responses; and brain disorders are treated based on the diagnoses of heterogeneous disease populations. We are sitting at a critical intersection. The convergence of recent advancements in human genomics and real-world clinical data make possible the emergence of a game-changing innovator in brain science. Enter Neumora, with the mission to transform the treatment of brain disorders through precision medicine. Co-located in Boston and the San Francisco Bay Area, Neumora is building a world-class team backed by leading investors, including ARCH Venture Partners and long-term, mission/vision-oriented investors. Neumora recently raised more than $500M in its Series A and entered into a strategic R&D collaboration with Amgen. Neumora is currently at ~100 employees and well-positioned for further growth.
We are seeking an accomplished Physician Scientist with experience in early clinical development and translational science to join our clinical team, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). The successful candidate will contribute to the strategic planning and execution of translational and early clinical studies to support assessment of safety and pharmacokinetics, demonstration of target engagement, proof-of-mechanism and where possible early signal of efficacy in support of a diverse portfolio of projects in psychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases. The individual will lead and work on multiple projects with an integrated team of neuroscientists, clinicians and data scientists. To thrive in the role the individual will have strong background in early clinical development and translational neuroscience across neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders and will be well-versed in the multifaceted nature of neuroscience drug discovery.
Responsibilities:
The ideal individual is self-motivated, detail-oriented and exhibits strength in the ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously. The individual must work effectively within an organization and demonstrate reliability, responsivity and a relentless focus to Neumora's mission. We are particularly interested in individuals who possess exceptional oral and written communication skills, who exhibit drive, candor and a commitment to learning.
