Finance Manager

The Position: Finance Manager

Location: Basking Ridge, NJ


The person will be responsible for preparing and providing accurate information based on accounting and financial data analysis. You will research and analyze financial information to help the company make well-informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements.


• Responsible for creating monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports for senior management encompassing Revenue, COS, SGA expenses.

• Work on the monthly financial closing process by validating revenue & cost accruals

• Extensive working on Revenue & GPM analysis by client and projects for Monthly closing

• Assisting with corporate compliances and tax documentation preparation

• Managing all aspects of the general ledger

• Coordinating and assisting with the budget process

• Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles

• Analyzing and reporting cost variances

• Assisting accounts receivable, accounts payable, DSO analysis, and manage general ledger accounting

• Working with the company financial team to create internal controls and policies

• Collaborating with the functional department to maintain financial records and system processes

• Work on ongoing analysis projects including modeling, forecasting, variance analysis

• Assist the controller team with audit preparation and Intercompany reconciliation

• Perform ad hoc analyses and support the overall finance function



The Person:

The Finance Manager will bring the following qualifications and experience:

Must have skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working on finance and accounting functions in the service industry, (preferable IT industry)
  • Prefer to have CPA OR CA
  • Good knowledge of accounting and financial concepts
  • Advanced MS Office skills, specifically Excel
  • Ability to understand and use accounting and financial data to make decisions and influence outcomes
  • Ability to be self-directed while working under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people and cultures on a daily basis
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of business via phone, written communication and in-person
  • Ability to work under pressure, stretch to meet deadlines, and work within effectively short time constraints in a complex system
  • Ability to scale up and be able to manage entire finance reporting for business units/subsidiaries
  • Inherent interest in operational efficiency and maximizing financial performance


Academic Qualification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA)
