Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
As an Automotive Sales Manager, you will be responsible for customer retention and profitability in your assigned new and/or pre-owned vehicle dealership, promoting and driving results while creating a positive working environment. This will involve effective personnel management, knowledge of market potential, establishing performance standards, and a keen awareness of each department’s break-even data.

Your specific duties in this role will include:
Hiring, training, motivating, counseling, and monitoring the performance of all salespeople
Making manager appointment confirmation phone calls
Diving into customer base in CRM to identify likely purchasers and contacting via phone and email to generate appointment-based traffic
Completing deals and turning them into the accounting office in a prompt and timely manner
Conducting daily and weekly sales meetings
Forecasting and establishing monthly and annual performance goals and objectives
Maintaining an accurate daily activity log for the dealership
Inspiring and maintaining a customer-focused teamwork mentality
Reviewing inventory daily for maximum turnover efficiency
Attending all meetings and trainings when applicable
Knowing and understanding all applicable federal, state, and local laws

Job Requirements
Specific qualifications for the role include:
• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of sales management experience
• OR 4 years of experience and/or training
• OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Proven closing and follow-through skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, • professional journals, procedures, or government regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software, internet proficiency, and general mathematic skills
