Tremendous opportunity for a Sr GIS Developer with strong GIS experience to join a stable company making big strides in their industry.

We are seeking a senior GIS Application developer. The candidate should be highly motivated and detail oriented with successful and demonstrable experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise applications and solutions in a structured environment. In this role you will also be tasked with the following:

Responsibilities

• Assisting in architecting GIS solutions
• Developing, testing, implementing, and documenting new spatial solutions
• Supporting and enhancing existing GIS applications to support business processes
• Adhering to NS established standards, policies, and development guidelines

This is a 24 month contract located in Midtown. We are looking to fill this role immediately. Great collaborative culture, location accessible to MARTA, great opportunity for a long term contract and the opportunity to work on a high impact and innovative project! At the moment, all employees are 100% remote with no definite date to return to the office. That being said, Norfolk has established an improved 2 day WFH policy for all contractors out of the gate once they are back in the office.

Required:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of software development using C#, .NET framework
• 5+ years in development using JavaScript, Python, Angular
• Experience with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Portal, including spatial analyses and linear referencing
• Spatial ArcGIS Desktop and web application development using ESRI ArcObjects, ArcGIS JavaScript API
• 5+ years of SQL development in Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c
• Fluency in Oracle procedures, triggers, sequences, constraints, and VPD policies
• Solid understanding of software development principles
