The Assistant Vice President of Digital Marketing Engagement is responsible for the successful planning, execution and measurement of the digital marketing strategy and technology efforts. The position develops and implements effective strategies that support the UHealth/MSOM brand, service lines, customer acquisition and retention efforts through digital channels such as; websites, mobile apps, digital advertising including CRM, digital/social paid media and the digital development and creative process. This role combines an in-depth knowledge of the organization's business objectives, online strategies, information technology development with a rich background in the digital marketing industry to deliver effective digital marketing recommendations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as a core member of the marketing leadership team responsible for providing strategy & consulting services, devising innovation strategy and the roadmap for end-to-end transformational engagements in collaboration with subject matter experts, consultants, technologists and creative teams. Leads digital, CRM and creative personnel and functions.

  • Owns and executes all web, SEO/SEM, CRM, mass e-mail, marketing automation, social media, metric tracking and reporting and asset optimization to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, retention, digital reputation and cross sell.

  • Optimizes online engagements on digital properties and reports monthly usage statistics. Identifies customer/business trends and needs, enhancements that can be made to improve the user experience across all digital channels.

  • Drives application designs that complement the company's business strategy and processes. Develops and analyzes digital requirements; recommends solutions, development and implementation strategies.

  • Works with development partners, management and vendors to understand strategies, requirements, constraints and available technologies and translates them into viable solutions that meet business needs.

  • Works in collaboration with marketing team members to help develop content and increase customer engagement in their sites. Collaborates with other marketing personnel to support and ensure alignment of marketing programs. Drives cross-functional alignment with other departments and service lines and business partners.

  • Provides oversight of internal employee engagement digital tools including intranet, apps, digital signage, etc.

  • Creates functional and business requirements for all digital and mobile consumer enhancements or implementations.

  • Evaluates emerging technologies. Identifies opportunities to improve program performance, new growth opportunities and optimizes ROI.

  • Provides thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field

  • Masters degree preferred

Work Experience Requirements

  • 10+ Years of experience with a strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy, benchmarks and best practices.

  • Healthcare/medical marketing experience preferred.

  • Enterprise level web design/development, user experience and digital behavior a plus.

  • Must be comfortable working in a cross functional, matrixed organization in order to support key organizational strategies.

  • Working knowledge of CRM and marketing automation platforms. Proficient with HTML, CSS and enterprise level web content management systems. Proficient with Agile Project Management principles and team collaboration software. Experience with Adobe Suite programs.

  • Must have experience in multi-channel digital marketing (i.e., Search, Social, Mobile, Web), digital patient experience, digital strategy, digital analytics and digital marketing operations models in the healthcare industry.

  • Working knowledge of leveraging enterprise level big data trends using SQL relational databases to drive digital marketing technologies and processes.

  • Experience managing multiple projects and competing deadlines.
