BondIT is growing! We are looking for an experienced and versatile Technical Business Analyst to join our team to assist us with an increasing number of client engagements and to improve our products and delivery capabilities. The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for owning the overall design of assigned technical projects (custom or product strategy) as well as recommending best practices for solutions based on client business needs. This role as a Technical Business Analyst will require strategic design and mapping of business requirements and solutions to system/technical requirements in order to improve our business operations. The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for writing technical specifications (for custom development, system integration, etc.) based on interactions directly with the customer and product team. Ideally, the Technical Business Analyst is engaged in best practice development initiatives, is able to provide thoughtful leadership, and has familiarity with fixed income and financial services systems integration and cloud solutions. You may also be required to provide support for existing client deployments and assist with pre-sales activities.

To ensure success as a Technical Business Analyst, you should demonstrate experience and creativity in system development and application design. Outstanding Technical Business Analysts combine their IT expertise with in-depth business knowledge.

Technical Business Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Performing system analysis on business and technical requirements, software programs, specifications, applications, and web services
  • Determining system efficiency and functionality by liaising with internal departments and end-users
  • Analyzing and improving the performance of web-based customer portals and support services
  • Ensuring end-user proficiency with the BondIT product offerings
  • Monitoring product development and ensuring compliance with industry standards, best practices and regulations
  • Promoting system efficiency and security by incorporating performance and security requirements into the specifications


Job requirements

What we are looking for:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or similar
  • 3-5 years of technical business analysis in the Financial Services sector
  • Strong knowledge of data languages like SQL and common system integration architectures and methods such as API's, Microservices, SSO, etc
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly assimilate and document new concepts, customer requirements, business models, and technologies
  • Exceptional communication skills in facilitating the use of new software systems and running demonstrations
  • Willingness to work with a global team and understanding that from a time zone perspective this can mean inconsistent hours
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to take a leadership role when necessary

Preferred:
  • Experience with any of the following a distinct advantage - Fixed Income Portfolio Management, Financial Trading Systems, Quant Research Models, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, and FIX protocol and messaging
  • Experience with a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of data security
  • Ability to design and maintain efficient customer support and feedback channels
