IT TECHNICAL ANALYST
The IT Technical Analyst will provide direct, secure support in the development and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including LAN, WAN and Datacenters. The role has a very high degree of impact on the ability of the business to operate efficiently.

The IT Technical Analyst will provide direct, secure support in the development and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including LAN, WAN and Datacenters. The role has a very high degree of impact on the ability of the business to operate efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The individual recognizes complexity of problems and asks for help as required; Applies standards, procedures, and policies to accomplish goals.
- Captures and assimilates learnings for others. Applies general technical skills to new situations.
- The employee determines priorities and may deviate from established procedures if objectives are met. Direct monitoring of the job is sometimes needed.
- Provide support for the technical components of our internal computing environment. This includes networks, servers, protocols, hardware, operating systems, firewalls, etc.
- Assess new technologies to determine potential benefit and applicability for our businesses
- Work closely with the sites to ensure the technical components of our environment are properly supported.
- Assist the Infrastructure Manager to develop strategic and tactical plans for our technical environment.
- Support and planning for critical requirements including: network security, network administration, active directory, computer builds, imaging, domain controllers, virtualization, and file/print servers
- Perform occasional project management activities with a focus on technical projects
- Keen understanding of site operations and technical awareness
- Provides mentoring/training to less experienced technical staff
- Supervises work being done by 3rd party technology vendors
JOB SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Understands complex technical aspects of the role and performs work without supervision
- Advanced technical skills in most of the following areas:
- Windows configuration and administration (server and desktop)
- Active Directory user/group administration
- Networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, Firewalls, Routing, WiFi, MPLS)
- Digital security technology
- Endpoint provisioning and deployment
- Database administration (SQL Server)
- Remote support and troubleshooting for printers, peripherals, and mobile devices (Android/Apple)
- Ability to interact with other personnel at multiple levels and across functional boundaries
- Actively seeks input from others and works to identify improvements in problem resolution
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Influences others to gain support; defines problems before attempting to solve; gages complexity of problem and time/effort needed to solve
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Technology related field
- 10 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Travel is occasionally required. Travel to other cities or manufacturing facilities may be necessary to provide support or install or replace on-site hardware.
