Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking an Associate VP for Finance and Compliance. The AVP for Finance and Compliance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills in order to be a part of the leadership team. If you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established organization, this may be the role for you.

What you get to do every single day

• Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements

• Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department

• Supervise risk and insurance management

• Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff

• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget

• Develop financial analysis prior to contract negotiations and product investment decisions

• Analyze and monitor forecasting and budgeting models

• Oversee the preparation of all financial reports

• Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts

• Supervise financial planning and budget management functions

• Propose benchmarks for analyzing financial and operating performance

• Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives

  Requirements

• Knowledge of financial and accounting reporting systems

• High analytical and extremely detailed

• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• MBA required

• CPA preferred

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

• 10+ years of finance and accounting experience

• Experience with higher level functionality in Microsoft Excel
