Program Manager

Location: Carmel, Indiana; Eagan, MN, or Little Rock, Arkansas

As a Program Manager at MISO, youll play a meaningful role leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives. Be responsible for programs from beginning to end, ensuring a better workflow and more effective communication. Work closely with MISO leadership and key partners to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and drive critical programs and activities across the company.

As the Program Manager, you will:

  • Lead programs by staying aligned on program scope as well as aligning one or more teams on vision, business goals, creating program structure, and securing cross-functional alignment

  • Partner with team members to help make key decisions, remove obstacles, and address program issues. Ensure business goals are met and drive the strategic vision of each program.

  • Partner with teammates to drive workgroup alignment meetings and address tactical issues, dependencies, team status, issues, metrics review, milestones, etc.

  • Provide transparency to program status (issues, risks, metrics, etc.) on an ongoing basis

  • Oversee program conformance to governance policies and processes

  • Manage program risks and issues, and monitor and report on overall program funding and health

Some of the qualifications for the MISOs Program Manager include:

  • 5-10 years of Project Management experience with degree in Engineering, Technology or Sciences. Masters Degree preferred.

  • 3-5 years (Technical Project Manager) of experience leading large scale, enterprise product programs

  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior leadership, and technical and non-technical team members alike.

  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment

  • Demonstrated experience as a trusted partner and provide examples on how program success was achieved

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
