New Business Specialist (14651)
Job Summary
New Business Specialist will be responsible for day to day operations for coding, pending, and weekly balancing. This position is responsible for receiving, coding and balancing new applications received for ESD and taking those applications to a final disposition. This person will also be responsible for screening life, health and annuity applications received from the field to ensure entry into our systems, as well as, application tracking and reporting. This individual will also be in charge of sending letters and emails communicating with various departments. Additional duties include auditing, organizing information daily, and updating spreadsheets.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, print, and assemble all applications received for ESD
- Key applications onto a spreadsheet
- Code applications, and make any corrections necessary
- Correspond with agents for corrections or inquiries regarding pending new business.
- Answer questions and emails from supporting departments.
- Check and work the ESDNB email box. This box includes general inquiries, and withdrawn policies.
- Maintain weekly balance report to ensure accounts match with commissions accounting each week.
- Process all checks received with applications and coordinate with accounting to process.
- Complete weekly pending reports and update notes.
- Cancel/Withdraw, Reduce, modify or research problems as requested.
- Review files that have been released by underwriting and determine if the policies can be printed, issued, reduced, or rejected.
- Other duties as required.

- Microsoft office required, including strong Excel skills.
- Quick learner and ability to have strong attention to detail.

- Must have the ability to work in a team environment, quickly assess problems and find workable solutions
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

Education & Work Experience
- Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred 1-3 years in a job requiring similar skill sets
