Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to provide quality dining room service at all times according to federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and our established policies and procedures as may be directed by the Dining Room Manager or the Chef.

• Set up dining room tables for meal service and other related events.
• Take residents'/guests' orders and serve them promptly.
• Follow regulations for safe handling of food and service items.
• Clear tables after meal service. Wash down tables and chairs.
• Effectively communicate with the Dining Room Manager, fellow servers, and kitchen staff to ensure proper food service experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dining Room Manager.

• Ability to communicate with and relate well to the elderly population, the public, and staff courteously and diplomatically under all circumstances.
• Have good communication skills.
• Team player.
• Energetic and positive.
• Restaurant food service experience is preferred but not necessary.
