Essential Functions of the Job:
Design and conduct HEOR studies to ensure timely, quantitative and qualitative understanding of clinical, economic, and humanistic burden of disease, real world unmet needs and outcomes to support product launch and reimbursement
Manage multiple projects and vendors effectively across various HEOR methodologies
Develop evidence generation plan with current understanding of key markets and stakeholders to support value proposition
Review HEOR statistical analysis plan and interpret results with independent, critical thinking to further develop HEOR conference abstracts, presentations and publications
Provide HEOR input across product life cycle in collaboration with internal teams
Collaborate and communicate with internal cross-functional partners (commercial, clinical) and external KOL
Represent BeiGene or HEOR in internal and external conferences and meetings
Minimum Requirements Education and Experience:
Director:
- Masters degree in the field of Psychology, Psychometrics, Sociology, Health Economics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research and a minimum of 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry particularly experience in Clinical Outcomes Assessment (COA).
OR
PhD, PharmD or MD and a minimum of 5 years experience required
PhD, PharmD or MD is strongly preferred.
Experience in oncology is preferred.
Senior Director:
- Masters degree in the field of Psychology, Psychometrics, Sociology, Health Economics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research and a minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry particularly experience in Clinical Outcomes Assessment (COA).
OR
PhD, PharmD or MD and a minimum of 6 years experience required
PhD, PharmD or MD is strongly preferred.
Experience in oncology is preferred.
Other Qualifications:
Ideal candidate should have 7 plus years of experiences in patient centric projects.
Expertise and experience in the strategy, conceptual basis, methodology and application of COA (eg, Patient Reported Outcomes - PRO and Health Related Quality Of Life - HRQOL) and other health outcome measures in the context of clinical studies is required.
Deep understanding of oncology clinical trial study designs and COA requirements for regulatory/HTA submission
Strong working knowledge and application of the FDA/EMA and other regulatory guidelines to support drug development and provide trainings to internal/external stakeholders.
Expertise and experience with the development, psychometric evaluation/validation and selection of PRO instruments used in clinical studies is required.
Regulatory understanding and experience in negotiating PRO label claims is strongly preferred.
Ability to collaborate within internal across functional teams and external alliance partners and ability to drive the COA strategies in a mutually agreed way
Strong comprehension and communication skills including the ability to translate and disseminate complex scientific information in a clear and concise manner
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
Strong project management skills, ensuring the timely deliveries of the projects
Experience managing budgets.
Ability to work in a matrix environment.
Rigorous research methodology training and ability to design, plan, and conduct HEOR studies
Experiences with health economic models, real-world datasets, SLR and AMCP dossier/GVD are plus
Highly organized and self-motivated with ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects, determine and meet project objectives, timelines, and budget
Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix team environment and effectively communicate relevant strategies, evidence and studies outputs
Proven ability to drive results at a high level of quality as a strategic and creative thinker/leader
Impactful oral and written communication skills and presentation skills.
Computer Skills:
- PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Travel:
- Work related travel approximately 25%
