Algorithm Engineer - NISSC II with Security Clearance

$120,000.00 To 140,000.00 Annually JOB SUMMARY Zivaro's NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract (NISSC) II Team provides engineering expertise and IT services in support of various NORAD, NORTHCOM, USSTRATCOM, and US Space Force Command and Control (C2) missions. The NISSC II-covered systems provide timely, accurate, unambiguous, and continuous classified communications and processing capability in operations centers at Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado; Offutt AFB, Nebraska; Vandenberg, California; and other worldwide operational locations. In concert with the prime NISSC II contractor, Jacobs Technologies, Zivaro's employees performs enterprise architecture, system engineering, software development, system integration, and system test duties to fulfill NISSC II operations, maintenance, and sustainment requirements. Experience supporting capability development, delivery, and sustainment of Command and Control (C2) systems within an Agile environment supporting the missile warning, missile defense, and space domain awareness (SDA) domains is highly desired. Multiple positions at varied experience levels needed! POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS The Algorithm Engineer will provide technical expertise and support to the Space Systems Command (SSC) Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Directorate Chief Scientist Office (CSO) in analyzing data and developing complex algorithms for the evolution of threat models in support of new missile warning capabilities as part of the CCIC2S Mission Applications Product Team. While the primary focus will be on algorithm development, the candidate will also be expected to contribute to requirements, software, and testing of the CCIC2S system. Experience with algorithm development is required.
Familiarity with MATLAB and its use in prototyping/developing algorithms is also required. Candidate should have extensive experience in missile warning or missile defense domains and have a background in physics or aerospace engineering. Candidates should have experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions. Demonstrated experience in algorithm development, troubleshooting, analysis, and one or more of the following areas: system analysis, design, modeling, simulation, integration, test. Experience performing trade studies, requirements development, engineering design as well as software development processes and modeling is also desired. Direct experience with coordinate transformations, orbital mechanics, covariance propagation/analysis, and advanced threat modeling is highly desired. Experience using CCIC2S processes and methods is desirable. Candidate should have experience in developing Algorithm Description Documents (ADDs) and related Systems Engineering products. Experience with Agile development methodologies highly desirable.
Active Secret Security clearance required – Top Secret is preferred EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or related discipline. MS or PhD highly desirable. DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is required
