As a Banquet Server, you would be responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner while delivering outstanding guest service. Also ensure the space visually appealing and present the menu offering for the event. This may include linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service. Other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment.ResponsibilitiesAs a Banquet Server, you will:
  • Serve food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional and timely manner.
  • Must attend all designated pre-event meetings.
  • Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner. Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Banquets Manager to ensure consistency in the order throughout the banquet. Promptly bus dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.
  • Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guests for overall satisfaction. Practice "Teamwork"
  • Efficiently and properly perform all service standards to encourage safe and efficient resort operations.
  • Prepare room according to the BEO (Banquet Event Order) and the various meal functions.
  • Report to Banquet Captain and/or Banquet Manager any need for housekeeping and/or repairs of and banquet equipment.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Clean-up banquet space after the completion of the function and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored and re-stocked properly.
  • Respond to guest problems, complaints and accidents. Communicate to management, if necessary.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift.

  • Basset Alcohol Awareness certification desired, or the ability to obtain certification is required.
  • Must have demonstrated exemplary customer service, attention to detail, and ability to perform job duties in a repetitious and fast paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to speak and understand English in order to meet guest's needs.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift, and up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Flexible work Schedule to include 3 to 4 days work week (weekends included in a work week), customizing work hours + Part Time positions
