Rice Lake Weighing Systems is seeking a Director of Manufacturing to lead our domestic production operations. Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing, the selected individual will initially be responsible for production and scheduling. Immediate success will come from effective partnerships with HR/EHS, Lean/CI, Quality and Maintenance. Long-term achievement will require investment in people, scalable structures, systems discipline and leveraging technology.

RLWS manufactures 40,000 products used in weighing, measurement and automated process control. Our catalog has grown to over 1,000 pages and have become one of the largest full-line scale manufacturer in North America. The Director of Manufacturing will need to be highly organized with the ability to remain flexible to the ever-changing needs of the business. The selected person must embrace our “Take care of the customer” culture, understand our strategy, make developing people a priority, accurately measure performance, communicate frequently and effectively, and always balance the needs of employees with those of the organization.

The minimum qualifications for the Director of Manufacturing include a relevant Bachelor’s Degree, at least 10 years of industrial manufacturing experience that includes Plant Management and continuous improvement in an ISO environment; engineering experience preferred. Experience with steel converting, fabrication, welding, painting and assembly required. Excellent organization, communication, computer, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills required.
