Material Handler Warehouse

SUMMARY: This position is for a Material Handler/Custodian. The material handler loads raw materials and prepares produced parts for final manufacturing processes. Under general supervision, perform a wide variety of custodial duties in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment; and perform related work as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  Receive paper work upon material receipt and unloading of delivery trucks.  Operate Forklift and Overhead Crane to move raw material to individual machines and or move material from warehouse to staging area.  Maintains traceability when moving materials.  Empties chip tubs into chip spinner and monitors so chips continue to process and scrap bin doesn’t overfill.  Keeps the evaporator system working which includes (filling, cleaning, and reporting stoppages).  Responsible for maintaining orderly work areas.  Responsible for bringing all equipment to work areas.  Work safely, quickly and efficiently to meet production demands.  Able to lift a minimum 50 pounds.  Follow ISO/TS16949 standards.  Load, unload and operate bar stock cart.  Must be able to read and write and have serious intentions to enter into long-term employment.  Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedure.  Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers.  Refill restroom dispensers.  Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets, along with operate and maintain the automatic floor scrubber.  Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.  Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments.  Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed.  Launder cleaning rags and dust mops.  Have essential physical and mental capabilities in the following: Interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, follow directions, comprehension, calculating, reading, writing, speaking, evaluating, mathematics, organizing and innovation
