Senior Program Specialist

The Kentucky Coalition Against Domestic Violence (KCADV) is seeking a full-time Senior Program Specialist to join our team. The Senior Program Specialist will have a key role in leading and administering KCADV’s Education, Accountability and Change Program (EACP) for domestic violence offenders – i.e., batterers intervention program.

Expected Responsibilities:

· Invest in the development of policies for BIP practice that are reflective of best practices and policy at the federal, state, and local levels.

· Serve as part of the team that monitors BIP providers.

· Respond to grievances related to the BIP program.

· Manage the development (and update) of a standardized BIP curriculum for adults and youth.

· Design, develop, and implement training opportunities for the program as needs arise with external stakeholders.

· Actively contribute the BIP perspective to KCADV’s systems change work.

· Develop funder and organizational reports as required.

· Some travel required (in-state and out-of-state).

· Manage and maintain the integrity of the BIP Provider Certification process by:

o Processing applications from new providers.

o Process renewals from existing providers.

o Ensure supervision requirements for Associate and Autonomous providers.

o Maintain provider files.

o Engaging with non-certified providers to ensure adherence to the program regulations.

o Provide statewide community partners with an updated list of certified BIP providers.

o Develop documents in support of the BIP program.

· Other duties as assigned, including administrative activities in support of coalition projects.

Qualifications:

· Selected candidate must have experience working with survivors of domestic violence at a domestic violence shelter/program or an affiliate agency that provides intersecting services, or experience working in a coalition or other non-profit agency whose work relates to policies and services that support survivors of domestic violence.

· Experience in batterers intervention programming is beneficial.

· Have experience in project management, and developing and/or delivering training.

· Must have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented.

  • Have a deep commitment to ending gender-based violence, as well as other forms of intersecting oppressions including racism, classism, and ableism or a commitment to learn.
· Be self-motivated, resourceful, creative, and able to work well in a team driven environment.

· Strong communications skills.

· Proficient using Microsoft Office 365 including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom and Teams, etc.

Salary:

· Salary for a Senior Program Specialist is $50,000

Location:

This position is considered a Frankfort, KY based position and selected candidate must live within 55 miles radius of the KCADV office.

This position has the option to have an alternative working arrangement plan for telework; however, there will be in-person meetings or events at the Frankfort, KY office location and/or other designated sites that the Senior Program Specialist will be required to attend.
