Radiology Extern
Assists and performs in the optimum quality patient care by performing skills and procedures learned and demonstrated during the Radiologic Technologist Extern orientation program and under the supervision of a licensed Radiologic Technologist.
Reviews existing clinical data, collects additional clinical data, and makes recommendations based on obtaining additional pertinent data.
Assembles and checks all equipment used in providing patient care.
Performs clinical and technical duties according to policy and procedures.
Maintains patient records and communicates relevant information to members of the health care team.
Demonstrates concern for patient welfare by performing activities other than primary care needs.
Provides age appropriate care to pediatric through geriatric patient population.
Reports to: Radiology Supervisor
Minimum Education
Enrolled in a program to graduate with a minimum of an Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology program.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days
