****This position is an on call as needed position ranging from 10-15 hours a week.***

Position Summary

Responsible for providing patient transportation services. May provide assistance in processing admissions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide local transportation including, but not limited to, courier runs between the facilities.
  • Provide patient transportation to and from the airport, appointments and meetings.
  • Practices safe driving, obeying all traffic laws.
  • Performs routine vehicle checks before using the vehicle.
  • May perform admission duties in the absence of the Transportation Supervisor / Admission Clerk.

Education, Skills, & Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
  • Valid State Driver’s License with an excellent driving record.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Previous transportation experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Ability to provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
