The Job

We are looking for a Global Employer Branding Director to lead our positioning of OwnBackup as the employer of choice. You will be responsible for building and implementing the long-term employer brand strategy across multiple channels and ensure content is engaging and consistent. You will work collaboratively to define our employee value proposition, activate our employer brand globally, and drive demand generation through marketing initiatives and our Talent Acquisition team sourcers. The ideal leader will be a culture carrier, an employee advocate, and a creative storyteller that amplifies our brand. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Communications.

Your Day-to-Day Role
  • Create and lead the company’s global employer brand marketing strategy, key priorities, measurement framework, and budget, gaining alignment with recruiting, people, marketing, and business leadership
  • Partner closely with the organic social media lead to create an employee-led employer brand content strategy for LinkedIn and Instagram that demonstrates our culture and core values
  • Create an employer value proposition that attracts, keeps and inspires current and prospective employees
  • Partner and manage relationships with senior leaders and teammates, including recruiting, marketing, public relations, and others to understand talent and hiring forecasts (current and future), develop/align comprehensive go-to-market plans, and deliver senior leadership-level presentations on performance and impact
  • Define and brand all stages of the employee lifecycle
  • Identify tier one events where recruiters and sales can promote OwnBackup to attract talent and secondarily, prospects
  • Develop a scalable and repeatable playbook for meetups and conferences that make it easy for talent acquisition and sales to participate and execute
  • Continuously improve our presence in the talent market, educate stakeholders on the current landscape and emerging trends, methodologies, and implement strategic talent initiatives
  • Co-lead company awards strategy and submissions along with PR

Your Work Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or human resources from an accredited institution
  • Ten or more years of relevant professional experience in marketing or communications
  • Previous employer branding experience is required
  • Creative thinker, a complex problem solver and a team player who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Experience working with agencies or in-house creatives to deliver marketing campaigns across a variety of channels including owned and paid
  • Created and executed employee engagement campaigns
  • Managed Glassdoor, Indeed or BuiltIn strategy
  • Proven partnership with an HR team
  • A natural storyteller with outstanding communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of social media tactics
  • Strong understanding of branding to be able to sell the company as an employer of choice to prospective hires
  • Ability to manage workload, be flexible and proactive, work under deadlines, and ensure quality

This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business.
