QA/QC Inspector



Job Description

ADSCO is currently hiring for a full-time, dayshift, 8- hour, QA/QC Inspector. We service a variety of industries, including Chemical, District Heating & Cooling, Power Plants and Petroleum. Our services consist of shearing, sawing, plasma cutting, forming, rolling, and ASME code welding. Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of quality
  • Aim to encourage production employees in self-managing to quality standards.
  • Develop procedures to inspect and report quality assurance issues
  • Maintain QA/QC Manual and documentation in accordance with QC manager directive.
  • Collate shipping documentation / customer document package: certificate of compliance, inspection reports, heat logs, material certifications
  • Verify accuracy of final product based off engineering supplied prints/specifications
  • Report defects to appropriate manager and generate Non-Conformance Reports as needed
  • Assist Plant Manager and QC Manager with determining cause and corrective actions for reported Non-Conformances
  • Liaison with 3rd Party QA/QC Inspectors and jurisdictional authorities
  • Maintain current certificates of compliance
  • Coordinate ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards
  • Work in conjunction with production to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Perform Receiving Inspections on purchased material and outside serviced products.
  • Complete necessary receiving and final inspection documentation

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of QA/QC experience in a Steel Fabrication shop
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written English
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic/Practical knowledge of MS applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Mathematical skills
  • Good leadership skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to read and understand Material Test Reports (MTR)
  • Experience with Inspection and Measurement equipment and devices
  • Familiarity with Industry Specifications (ASME and ASTM)
  • Familiarity with NDE processes (i.e. Liquid Penetrant)
