The Headlines _:_
In the role of Associate Manager, Advanced Business Analytics based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (hybrid working model, 3 days in office per week), you will be responsible for developing analytics and insights capabilities with Molson Coors Business partners. You will evaluate new data sets requested by business stakeholders, develop the processes to load and prepare the data for use by data science teams, and ensure business objectives are met through analytics. This work may be conducted directly by this resource, or through direct oversight of both internal and external 3rd party resources. In addition, this resource will enable other functions to self-service analytics and insights through design and development of analytics approaches and visualization/reporting capabilities to deliver actionable insights. Finally, this role is expected to build strong relationships with Business and IT partners, data scientists, and other key resources that rely on analytics and data and ensure that both are made available to all functions that can benefit from it.
This role is part of the Advanced Business Analytics team within the Advanced Analytics group in our Finance Department and reports directly to the Director, Advanced Business Analytics. Outside of the direct team, this position will work in partnership with the commercial business leads and with a variety of other internal and external stakeholders and analytics subject matter experts to apply abroad range of analytical methodologies to solve complex problems at scale.
The Responsibilities:
Analytics
Works with analytical tools (SQL, R, Python & Tableau) & methodologies (including advanced statistics & machine learning) to bring together and interrogate multiple big data sets to deliver actionable insights & strategies to the business
Lead the development & execution of commercial analytics in areas such as Distribution, Price Promotion, Marketing Effectiveness and Sales Analytics across different channels, chains & products
Development includes understanding data, leveraging analytical techniques, and developing visualization tools to drive the analytics and insights
Work across multiple structured and unstructured datasets from disparate sources and markets
Quality checks to ensure analytics and insights validity and applicability
Lead the development and execution of custom analyses focused on quantitative methods
Adapt and roll-out analytical products or services from individual business areas or countries into the wider Molson Coors Business.
Delivery and Reporting
Transform model results into insights to help stakeholders understand not only historical impact but also make predictions of future returns and prescriptive recommendations
Develop and deliver action-oriented, insightful analytic presentations that provide consultative direction to key stakeholders
Utilizes Agile or Sprint development methodology to evolve analytics solutions to best address business challenges as quickly as possible
Communication & Learning
Communicate effectively with business and management stakeholders to build out and execute flexible project plans that deliver on joint commercial goals
Build commercial analytics knowledge, experience & capabilities through on-the-job and external learning to become a thought leader at Molson Coors
Collaborate with local commercial and insights teams to both roll-out North American developed analytic solutions & build local capability through training & support
Build and lead ad-hoc training/education sessions with stakeholders and end users to build adoption and usage of analytics within the organization
Develop effective and succinct communication of complex methodologies and insights to senior business leaders through presentation design and communication skills.
The Qualifications:
You have 3+ years of Analytics, or Commercial experience
You have experience working with large datasets building, managing, and interpreting complex, predictive statistical or econometric models
You possess proven creative and analytic problem-solving skills in a commercial and consumer context
You have excellent technical skills in SQL, R, Python, and other languages used in analytics as well as familiarity with Microsoft Excel
You have excellent technical skills in Tableau or Power BI or equivalent visualization and reporting software
You have strong abilities to collaborate, communicate, and influence
